Places, anywhere I go I take photos, usually now with my phone. Often they’re the bones behind the final image.
BUTTERCUPS AND FENCE 2023
Not all images look right in monochrome and you need them for competitions. This is a single shot with added textures to add a little atmosphere. Take at the Singing Ringing Tree.
THE CHAIR 2012
A trip to Manchester Victoria Baths.It did remind me of the baths at Southport. I managed to get several images from this visit. This one is the favourite. Sometimes it's about going off on your own and getting some different images, then added distressing to age it.
The Guildhall 2019
Having a wander round London you find some interesting places. The gallery was amazing, loved the art. The two figures are on the original shot. It had a bland sky so added colour and texture.
ADMIN F29 2014
A close up shot but more or less straight image. I like the distressed walls with the numbers on the rail really created structure and movement. Taken at the Old Blind School, Liverpool which is now a hotel.
THE OLD PIER 2014
Most people know this is Brighton's Old Pier. I was working on set of high horizons and this fitted perfectly. The colour gradient add to the depth of the sea.
The SHARD 2017
London has so many landmarks .The Shard was taken from the top of the Tate Modern. A Crosby sunset added and a couple of textures to finish it off.
NEW DRESS 2023
A set of five images in total. The starting with shots of shops in Ulverstone. Most of the additional parts are also taken there. It was really fun telling stories about each shop and simplifying it.
DISTANT TOWERS 2010
Blackpool taken from Southport Marine Drive. I added some Nik Filters and played with the shades and shadows. You don't see the tower all the time but on a clear day you do.
