PEOPLE
PEOPLE
People are not my favourite subject . I don’t take models or studio work, paid trips to photograph people.Any images I do take tend to be used for creative work and telling a story.

THE BROTHERS. 2013
The man in the image was taken at the Matthew Street Festival in Liverpool. The setting of graffiti was also taken in Liverpool. It worked best in Mono as it took the colour out of the background.

DECONSTRUCTING TURNER. 2019
A visit to the National Portrait Gallery. A man sketching in the Turner Gallery. The treatment was an accident to start with, I had a large clone tool selected and it created a repeated pattern, I liked it, so did the others the same. Works in Colour and Mono.

THE GUARDIAN. 2011
I had lots of fun with this one from a set of two. The people taken in the crowd at the Gay Pride in Manchester.
A setting added and a spiderweb for a waterfall. Textures added for atmosphere.

BLINDS AT THE TATE. 2019
One of my images that's near to my heart. It's a simple image taken at the Tate Modern, London. The exhibit was lots of blinds hanging down at various lengths. Added textures add a little emotion.

FELTCH. 2009
The sunset image was Crosby. I'd been taking Gormley Men and spotted this lady playing with her dog on the beach. The turbines to frame the figure. The shaded bands make the shot for me.

The Power of Music 2017
An outdoor concert playing in Liverpool. A set of three prints in total. Removed the logos on the T-shirt. More turbines for the setting and using bright paintwork to add the concert feel to the shot.

RED FANS 2010
One from a set of three prints. Taken at an event in Liverpool Dock Area. I tracked Mark down and gave him a print. It's good to meet the person behind the image. There's also a triptych of the set.

ONE MORE STEP. 2011
A re-enactor walking along on a very hot day. The setting a mix of textures and images. It's an images featuring the clouds. I really enjoy creating and adding emotion which is often not easy.
