Mass Makes - March - Tags with Tissue Paper
These started by being inspired by Cori from Creating with Scraps.
The YouTube Video was about using thin slivers of paper to decorate backgrounds but first she covered card with tissue.
Great idea to get tags that match you journals. The tissue paper I used was plain and I used Tim Holtz stamps and ink. A very relaxing and calm thing to do.
Step 1 – plain A4 Tissue Paper and a larger sheet of white paper under the tissue. I stamped on the slightly shiny side.
Step 2 – choose the theme for the paper. In this case Tim Holtz Mini Blue Print 3 Stamps CMS150 & colours of Distress inks. I limited mine to three vintage colours. Black, Vintage Photo & Brushed Corduroy
Step 3 – Choose a Main Stamp, in this case the camera. Stamp randomly about 5 times on the sheet, rotating as you go. Some stamps should go over the edge of the paper, so you get a half stamp.
Step 4 – choose your next stamp, Cogs. Stamp next to the first stamp in any direction or orientation. Repeat with the various stamps always working around the first stamp and changing directions.
Step 5 — Fill the gaps with smaller stamps or numbers and text. I used Eclectic – Tim Holtz on some of the sheets.
Step 6 – Repeat with other die sets. I created 5 in total. it really makes the tissue paper yours.
Note
If you want to glue this to something always use glue stick as wet glue will make the ink run.

One of the thing I did with the tissue is to stick (Glue Stick) to scraps of cell. Some so the cell is on the front and some so the cell is on the back depending on their use and you choice of texture.
They make great belly bands or pockets that you can see partially see the background or embellishment through. great addition to your journal.
